[Name:]
Taija Cummingham
[Age:]
16
[Bloodline:]
Muggleborn
[House:]
Vizcaino
[Character Personality:]
Taija is a loner, by all rights of the word. She doesn't really handle crowds too well. Not that she's shy, she simply gets annoyed easily. She's not afraid to tell people how she feels, and as a result, usually gets written off as a selfish, and rude, little witch. That's fine by her. The more people hate her, the more they'll leave you alone.
When she does get close to people, however, she's usually pretty boring. She's not much of a talker; discussing stupid things, or personal things, seem like a waste of time to her. She's a fierce defender for her friends, though. You watch her back, she'll watch yours. She's unafraid to go to extreme limits to prove her point.
Taija is also very boycrazy. Actually, boys are usually pawns in her little game. She enjoys wrapping them around her finger, so tight to the point that she can basically control their every action. Don't me wrong, she does it in a coniving, classy, little manner.
[History:]
Taija was born October 24th, 1990, to Kelly and Marcus Cummingham. Happy little muggle family, and proud as well. Marcus works in the truck driving business, while Kelly stays at home to take care of the farm. Yes, farming is hard work, but it seems that Kelly enjoys it very much. They lived in Rome, Georgia until Taija was 15 years old.
In 2001, when they recieved their letter from Salam Acadamy, proclaiming Taija a witch, her parents couldn't have been more proud. "Why! This sort of thing only happens to people in books!" They said, and were quick to accept her into the school.
Taija, herself, was very pleased. She had a gift. A very special, and powerful, gift. Not only that, but attending this school would garuntee her out of her mother's overbearing actions for a complete school year.
She attened Salam Academy until she was 15 years old. Her father's corperation was moved to California. The Headmistress of Salam recommended that she transfer out of her school, and enrolled into West Coast. Taija was very upset about it. She enjoyed her school very much.
So now, she's preparing to go to a new school. Her family lives in Kansas (flat lands with no excitement what-so-ever), and she was signed up to join this cute little summer camp.
Hopefully the year will pick up once school starts.
[Year:]
6
[Special Talents/Info:]
Taija prides herself on being able to read people. She can usually pick the sick sheep out of the herd, and the alpha wolf of the pack.
[Favorite Class/Worst Class:]
Potions/Transfiguration
[Owl, Cat, Toad, Rat, Tarantula or Pygmy Puff?]
Taija isn't too big on animals. She really doesn't like them too much. However, her mother insisted that she bring a pet to the new school. You know, to help keep her company? Anyways, she settled on a Pygmy Puff. Cutest little thing she'd ever saw! It was a female, or so the shopkeeper said. A name. She had to come up with a name. Staring down at her, she smiled. "Luke."

You are sneaking out of your Common Room at night and a Prefect grabs your arm. They want to know why you are out of your bed after curfew and threaten to report you/take house points. Post this scenario from your characters point of view and beware of GodModing the Prefect's actions. This is to get an idea of how your character reacts and to get you considering their thought processes. You do not have to escape, simply react to the scene realistically. You may create a valid reason/excuse if your character is not the type to break rules (illness, note from headmistress, etc..).
First nights in new surroundings are always the most splended things, aren't they? You don't know anybody. It feels like people are pointing and talking about you. You get lost. You're late for classes. You get lost some more... That's what happened to Taija. She had went to the girls bathroom right after dinner, and had been trying to find her way back to the common ever since.
She wasn't stupid. She could easily tell that it was after curfew. Not that the empty halls, and dim lights, wouldn't give it away. She crossed her arms against her chest, and continued walking. A couple times she debated on asking one of the paintings where the Vizcaino Commons were. She decided against it. How embarrassing would it be for her to get reported and/or get points deducted from her house?
The halls seemed to be growing darker. She looked over at a snoozing portrait and groaned. She had passed that same portrait almost three times already! Her mouth twitched into a frown. She had to get some help, otherwise she'd be wandering until the sun came up.
Taking in a deep breath, she began to approach the painting; that was, until a hand roughly grabbed her arm, and demanded what she was doing out after curfew.
"I-I.." She mumbled. "I'm lost. I've been wandering around for hours, perhaps you could help me?"
Okay. It seemed like she was offering some lame excuse, didn't it? Of course it did! Taija held her breath, and waited for the Prefect's response.
